Day wise Shillong travel Itinerary: Chennai to Shillong tour Plan

Day 1: Guwahati to Shillong

Arrival at Guwahati Airport, or railway station. Meet our tour guide driver. Later drive to Shillong (110 K/M – 3 hrs), it is known as the Scotland of East. En- route visit Umaim Lake, Barapani. Later visit Shillong local tourist places, such as Elephant falls, and local Khasi markets. Overnight stay in the Hotel Sun Rise Guest House, or similar.

Day 2: Shillong to Mawphlang sacred forest

After breakfast, drive to sacred forest, this jungle famous for medical herbs, and trekking site. Afternoon visit Shillong view point, and wards Lake. Overnight stay in the Hotel.

Day 3: Shillong to Dawki

After breakfast, drive to Dawki(90 K/M – 3hrs), it is known as the Umngot river. Enjoy trekking on a Single Decor living root bridge. Later proceed to Dawki town, and boating on the Umngot River, this clear crystal river is connected from the Bangaladesh. Visit India-Bangladesh border and Dawki suspension bridge.

Later drive to Mawlynnong, which Asia’s cleanest village, and later sightseeing in Mawlynnong khasi villages. Evening return to Shillong and night stay in the same Hotel.

Day 4: Shillong to Cherrapunji excursion

After breakfast, drive to Cherrapunji, known as Chora (65 K/M -2hrs). This city is world’s famous wettest place. En route sightseeing in Cherrapunji town, such as Mawsami cave, Seven Sister falls, Nohkalkai falls, and Eco Park. Overnight stay in the Hotel.

Day 5: Cherrapunji to Guwahati

After breakfast, Cherrapunji to Guwahati plan (175 K/M – 4 hrs). Guwahati is famous for its ancient temples, and is located in the mighty Brahmaputra River. En route visit Kamakhya temple, and it is a holy place for spiritual travellers. Later, take a Dinner cruise. Overnight stay in the Hotel Guwahati.

Day 6: Guwahati Airport

After breakfast, transfer to Airport or Railway station. Tour Ends.
