Day wise Assam travel Itinerary: Assam tour plan

Day 1: Guwahati

Pick up from Guwahati Airport or Kamakhya Railway Station. Meet your experienced tour guide driver. Later drive to Guwahati town. En route, visit Maa Kamakhya temple, Umananda island. Later visit Assam State Museum, and local fancy markets. Evening take a Sun Set Cruise or Dinner Cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra River, this river is known as Asia’s longest river line. Experience local dishes of Assam. Overnight Stay in the Hotel.

Day 2: Guwahati to Tezpur (Approx 190 K/M – 3HRS)

After breakfast, drive to Tezpur, this city is famous for heritage places. En route, visit Maha Mrityunjay temple, this temple is located in Nagon. Later, places to visit in Tezpur, such as Aganigarh Hills, Cold Park, Padum Pukhuri, Ganesh Ghat. Later, visit the Brahmaputra River view point, etc. In the evening can explore Tezpur local city. Overnight stay in the Hotel.

Day 3: Tezpur to Sivasagar (Approx 220 K/M – 4HRS)

After breakfast, proceed to Sivasagar, it is famous historical places in Assam. Sivasagar is known for its Ahom monuments. En route can see beautiful Tea Gardens, where you can take photos. Later visit Sibsagar local markets. Overnight stay in the Hotel.

Day 4: Sivasagar Sightseeing

After breakfast, places to visit Sivasagar, such as the Rang Ghar, Kareng Ghar, Talatal Ghar. Later visit Joysagar Tank, and Sivadol temple. Overnight Stay in the Hotel.

Day 5: Sivasagar to Majuli (Approx 85 K/M – 3HRS)

After breakfast, drive to Majuli Island, this Island is known as the world’s largest river line. Majuli is a famous for its ancient Satras, and mask making traditional art. Overnight stay in the Hotel.

Day 6: Majuli sightseeing

After breakfast, places to see in Majuli Island, such as Auniati Satra, Garmur Satra, Kamalabari Satra, and explore Mask making places, all this variety of mask used in Majuli Rass festival, and traditional dances in Satras. Later visit mishing tribal villages, it is a famous tribes community in Assam. Overnight stay in the Hotel.

Day 7: Majuli to Kaziranga (Approx 245 K/M – 4HRS)

After breakfast, drive to Kaziranga National Park, is a famous wildlife park in India. Kaziranga is known as the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE, and is famous for One-Horned Rhinos. Kaziranga is located in the Golaghat district of Assam. En route, visit the Tea gardens in Assam. Overnight stay in the Hotel.

Day 8:Kaziranga Safari

Early at 5.30 A.M, can take an Elephant Safari in Kaziranga National Park. This park has 4 major ranges, Kohora, Bagori, western, and Buraphar range. During Elephant safari, animals to spot in Kaziranga, such as Rhinos, Buffalo, Deer, Golden Langur, Snake, Tigers, and migratory Birds. After breakfast, visit Kaziranga Orchids garden, it is the India’s largest orchids park. These orchids garden showcase to 600 varieties plant, it is collected from across the North-Eastern region. Afternoon 1.30 P.M, take a Jeep Safari to Kaziranga. In the evening can enjoy local cultural show in nearby Kaziranga. Overnight stay in the Resort.

Day 9:Kaziranga to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station

After breakfast, check out from the Kaziranga National Park Hotel. En route, visit Assam’s local cities. Later transfer to Guwahati Airport. Tour Ends.
